Orthodox Cannibalism was created by using 2 blank (and 1 nearly blank) cassettes uncovered at the local thrift store which may, based on the material found on one tape which had been recorded on to completely, date back as far as the late 1960's. The process was to use each beautifully hissy, crackly, juddering side as a sound source processed through multiple distortions and then record the resulting wall back on to the same side of the same tape, hence the cannibalism.
